Greater Houston’s METRO STAR is service to help you save money, reduce your stress and relax to and from work. STAR offers hundreds of scheduled routes serving an 8-county area including Harris, Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Liberty, Montgomery and Waller.

STAR Routes To Serve You

With over 700 STAR routes, we serve thousands of origins and destinations. STAR serves millions of routes annually in vehicles that comfortably seat 7 to 15 passengers in individually reserved seats. We may have just the right route, seat and schedule for you. STAR, a service of METRO, operates from convenient meeting locations and makes only limited stops traveling directly to destinations.

New Customized STAR Routes

New STAR routes are forming all the time! If we don’t have an existing route that matches your schedule, we will work to create one. If you know others interested in vanpooling who live and work near you, call us and we can help create t a brand new STAR route. STAR routes that travel into and out of Harris County can use the extensive network of HOV and Diamond Lanes to help reduce your travel time.

Inexpensive

STAR is very affordable. We have three types of riders and corresponding fare levels: monthly, daily, and part-time. When compared to the cost of driving your own vehicle including fuel, toll, and parking; STAR really "shines!" 

Emergency Ride/Guaranteed Ride Home

As a STAR customer, you are automatically enrolled in the Emergency Ride program. Registered full-time STAR riders, who have a qualifying midday emergency or unscheduled overtime, are eligible for a free ride home! Now, that’s peace of mind. All you have to do is call Customer Service Center at 713-224-RIDE.
